Activating your new Sensory Play Jar.

Activating your new Sensory Play Jar.

Get ready for sensory play the easy way with your new Sensory Play Jar! Follow these top tips to ensure you get the most out of playtime.

Getting Started

  1. Don't forget to add batteries! The Sensory Play jar needs 3 new AAA batteries to activate the light-up technology. Be sure the batteries are brand new, high quality size AAA, and that they're properly aligned before you screw the lid back on.

  2. Be sure to only use a Phillips head #1 screwdriver to open up the batter pack that's located at the bottom of the jar.

  3. Use tap water only when filling up your jar. Our patented light-up technology uses the ions in tap water to create the Sensory Play Jar's magical GLO, so bottled or filtered water won't activate the lights.

  4. Tap the jar to change the light colors instantly. Or watch as it cycles through 9 bright colors on it's own.

Adding Fillers to Customize Your Fun

  1. Mix in your favorite fillers to customize your Sensory Play Jar.

  2. If you are adding Glo Pals Fun Fillers, don't forget that a little bit goes a long way! Be sure to sprinkle in a little bit from each pack and save the rest for another day of play.

  3. Please be aware that adding too much glitter can cause the water-activated sensors to become blocked, which will prevent the jar from lighting up like it should. If this happens, empty the jar and rinse it out to remove any glitter that may be covering the sensors.

When Playtime is Done

  1. To turn the jar off, just flip it upside down! We recommend that you leave about 2 inches of air at the top of the jar so that you can flip it over, turning it off and conserving the batteries.

  2. To change out your Fun Fillers, use a fine mesh strainer, coffee filter, or the mesh bag included with the Fun Fillers to strain out the fillers. Store them in a dry place if you'd like to use them again.

  3. Remove water and any fillers from the Sensory Play Jar every 24 hours for sanitary purposes.

  4. To rinse out the Sensory Play Jar, empty it completely and rinse it under warm water with a little bit of dish soap so that it's squeaky clean and ready for playtime!
